As a member of the tourism industry, you are in an ideal position to help prevent the sexual exploitation of children in tourism in two different ways: You can have a positive influence on your customers and actively encourage them to notify you when they become aware of suspicious activities. At the same time, you are often among the first to be confronted with the crime, be it by direct observation or inquiries from tourists.

In this section we make recommendations about how to behave if you are confronted with the sexual exploitation of children in tourism. This might be something observed or experienced in the destination country, or it could be comments or wishes expressed before departure.
